Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Mobile, AL will host an Archdiocesan School of Byzantine Music (ASBM) Conference on November 5, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM. There is no fee to participate in this ASBM Conference.

The Conference Program aims to inspire participants to learn more about our ecclesiastical music tradition and to engage individuals to be more active in their respective music ministries.

To accomplish these aims, the Conference Program will provide an introductory-level overview of the Psaltic Art (more commonly known as Byzantine Chant). It will also feature a workshop series where participants will learn to chant selected hymns of Vespers, Orthros, and Divine Liturgy in a choral manner.

Georgios Theodoridis, ASBM Director, and Anastasios Fakinos, ASBM Instructor, are the two presenters who will also provide instruction to conference participants.

All registered participants are also invited to chant in the choir at live services on November 5th and 6th held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Mobile.
